About the Role

The Allocate's Insights platform is scaling rapidly, and we need a leader to manage the data function that powers our platform, including our Insights Portfolio Management product. This is a client-facing data operations leadership role: You and your team are accountable for onboarding, client success, and owning data accuracy at scale. You will serve as a trusted operational partner to clients, Sales, and Client Success.

Data quality isn't a back-office function at Allocate — it's the product. Wealth advisors and allocators rely on our platform to make investment decisions, and the integrity of every capital call, distribution, NAV, and performance metric flows directly to clients. You will be accountable for ensuring that data is accurate, complete, and delivered on time every time, at an increasing scale. This is also the foundation on which Allocate is building its next generation of AI-powered portfolio intelligence tools and agentic workflows. The quality of the data layer you own directly determines the quality and reliability of every automated insight, recommendation, and agent we deploy. Getting this right isn't just operational, as it's strategic.

This role partners closely with the Principal Architect of Data, who owns Allocate's cross-vertical data infrastructure, shared data models, and long-term platform scalability. You will be a critical voice in shaping that platform, feeding frontline requirements, surfacing data quality patterns, and ensuring the Insights delivery operation evolves in lockstep with the broader platform architecture.

This is ideal for someone who combines deep operational leadership with hands-on data fluency, thrives in fast-moving environments, has genuine familiarity with alternative investment data and workflows, and understands that operational excellence in data is the prerequisite for everything we build.

What You'll Be Doing

Insights Delivery Execution

  • Own end-to-end execution of client onboarding and ongoing delivery operations for the Insights platform

  • Ensure implementation milestones are delivered on time, at high quality, and with a consistent client experience

  • Track and manage performance against SLAs, SLOs, and operational KPIs, proactively identifying risks and driving resolution

  • Serve as the operational escalation owner for Insights delivery challenges and client-facing issues

Data Quality & Operational Integrity

  • Own data quality outcomes across the Insights delivery lifecycle — ingestion, reconciliation, validation, and exception handling. Clients see this data; AI agents act on it. Accuracy is non-negotiable.

  • Establish and enforce data QA frameworks that ensure portfolio data (capital calls, distributions, NAVs, commitments, performance metrics) is accurate, complete, and timely at scale

  • Monitor and resolve data quality exceptions, building systematic approaches to root cause analysis and remediation

  • Partner with offshore processing teams to ensure data operations maintain quality standards as volume increases

  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to ensure the data layer meets the requirements for AI-powered tools and agentic workflows — clean, structured, reliable data is the prerequisite for intelligent automation

Operational Interface to the Business

  • Act as the primary delivery partner for Sales, Client Success, and cross-functional stakeholders on Insights onboarding timelines and execution readiness

  • Represent Insights delivery in leadership forums, providing clear reporting on operational health, risks, and priorities

  • Establish operating rhythms that ensure cross-functional alignment and predictable execution

Team Leadership & People Management

  • Lead and manage the Insights delivery organization, including Implementation Specialists, offshore processing teams, Data Quality, and Client Success support

  • Own hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development for the delivery team

  • Build a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement

Partnership with Portfolio Platform

  • Provide structured frontline feedback — data quality patterns, workflow gaps, tooling needs — to the Principal, Portfolio Platform, who owns the cross-vertical data infrastructure and shared platform architecture

  • Collaborate on workflow design, automation priorities, and platform evolution to ensure Insights delivers benefits from and informs the broader platform roadmap

  • Ensure delivery execution and long-term platform development remain tightly aligned

Qualifications & Skills

Required

  • 8+ years of experience in data operations, client delivery, or operational leadership in high-growth environments (fintech, SaaS, or financial services)

  • Direct experience with alternative investment data and workflows — fund structures, capital accounts, NAVs, performance reporting, fund administration processes. You understand the data, not just the delivery process.

  • Proven track record of independently owning execution outcomes and running delivery or data operations organizations at scale

  • Strong data fluency — comfortable with data quality frameworks, reconciliation processes, and exception management. You can get into the weeds on data issues and drive resolution.

  • Strong people leader with experience managing teams (including offshore), coaching performance, and building operational culture

  • Credible cross-functional partner to Sales, Client Success, Product, and Engineering — and a confident, trusted presence in direct client interactions

  • Deep operational rigor: skilled in establishing KPIs, dashboards, operating cadences, and accountability systems

  • Strong bias for action: thrives in ambiguity, moves quickly, and balances speed with quality

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Salesforce or similar workflow/CRM platforms

  • Proficiency in SQL and/or advanced Excel for reconciliation, validation, and operational analytics

  • Exposure to BI tools and performance dashboards for operational measurement

  • Background in fund administration, portfolio analytics, or wealth management operations

Why Join Us

  • Own a critical vertical: Lead the operational organization that powers Insights delivery, with full accountability for execution outcomes.

  • Shape the future of portfolio intelligence: The data operation you build is the foundation for Allocate's AI-powered agents and portfolio intelligence tools. Your work directly enables what we ship to clients today and in the future.

  • Client-facing impact: This isn't just a back-office role. You'll engage directly with clients and serve as a trusted operational partner to the advisors and allocators who depend on our data to make investment decisions.

  • High ownership and visibility: Direct partnership with senior leadership, a clear mandate, and the opportunity to build a best-in-class delivery function from the ground up.

  • Path to broader operational leadership: As Allocate scales and additional verticals mature, this role is a natural foundation for expanded operational scope under a future COO-led structure.

  • Collaborative, high-velocity culture: Join a team that moves quickly, values accountability, and thrives on solving complex challenges together.
