ABOUT THE ROLE
As we continue to grow our business, Citrine is looking for a part-time Business Development Representative (BDR) & Marketing Assistant contractor to work for 30 hours a week for 3 months with an option to extend the contract for the rest of the year. The timing is completely flexible, but there will be at least 1 hour a week between 8am and 3pm Eastern Time when you would be required to schedule a one-on-one with the Head of Marketing.
The split between BD and Marketing is 2/3 BD, 1/3 Marketing. We are looking for a self-starter who, with the help of the rest of the team, can use tools like Outreach, Salesforce, LinkedIn, and Zoom Info to translate leads into meetings. By being systematic, persistent, and polite, you will ensure all leads are followed up and arrange for potential customers to have their first meeting with Citrine. The other part of the role is to assist the Head of Marketing in creating Linked In posts, editing the website, setting up webinars and communicating the availability of new marketing resources to the team. Experience with Hubspot, Wordpress, Zoom, Confluence and Box is useful but not required. In this role you will be supporting the Sales and Marketing Team and contributing your efforts towards our vision of applying technology to materials and chemicals R&D for societal good.

Responsibilities

  • Diligently ensure leads from webinars, ads, and conferences are uploaded into Salesforce correctly.
  • Use your self-starter attitude, creative ideas, and ability to use sales software tools to articulately and persistently, follow up on leads generated from webinars and ads with the ultimate goal of securing discovery meetings with our Account Executives.
  • Arrange meetings for Account Executives when they are at a conference by targeting speakers.
  • Work with Marketing to create nurturing campaigns and follow them up to arrange meetings.
  • Identify prospective customers in target markets and invite them to webinars.
  • Ensure all new marketing resources are properly archived and promoted to the team.
  • Set up linked in posts to advertise attendance at conferences and promote webinars
  • Edit the website to improve SEO
  • Set up internal webinars in Hubspot and Zoom

Experience and Qualifications

  • Proven track record of intellect, drive, and strategic thinking
  • Sales acumen - an understanding of the sales process and the psychology behind it
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral
  • Proven history of overcoming obstacles
  • Demonstrated ability to work solo as well as being a productive team member
  • Always open to learning new things
  • Must be an excellent problem-solver and willing to collaborate

Nice-to-Haves

  • 1 year of sales experience in a B2B technology sales environment
  • 1 year marketing experience in a B2B environment
  • Experience using Salesforce, Outreach, Zoom Info, LinkedIn Sales Navigator or other similar prospecting applications
  • Experience using Wordpress, Zoom, Hubspot, Confluence and Box
  • Familiarity with large enterprise sales techniques

Compensation and Pay Transparency
At Citrine, we want your path to career growth to be transparent, straightforward, fair, and easily accessible -- starting with your application and interview process. The hourly salary range(s) listed below reflect the level(s) we are considering for this position (please note that there may be unique situations where you may fall outside of this range). Where you fall within the range(s) will depend on how your experience and skills align with our internal leveling system as we learn more about you throughout the interview process.
$30-$34 USD per hour
