Clever is seeking a Senior Account Executive for Education Partnerships (Canada). This is a new role focused on expanding Clever’s presence in the Canadian education market. The Senior Account Executive will be responsible for establishing Clever’s business in the region by selling EdTech solutions to educational institutions, building relationships, and supporting successful implementation. The focus will be on educating schools about Clever’s platform and creating long-term partnerships.

Location: Canada (remote)
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Develop Clever’s presence and market share in Canada by selling EdTech solutions to medium and large educational institutions.
  • Establish relationships with key decision-makers at schools and educational organizations across Canada.
  • Educate potential customers on the value of Clever’s platform, supporting them through the implementation process to ensure success.
  • Track and respond to technical RFPs, while competing effectively to win new business.
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, using Salesforce (SFDC) to track and measure progress.
  • Collaborate with Clever’s Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to ensure offerings are tailored to the Canadian education market.
  • Operate entrepreneurially, working to establish Clever in the market, and providing insights and new ideas to accelerate our growth.
  • Create a great experience for our new customers in Canada, retain key customers and provide ongoing support to supplement customer success and support teams when needed.
  • Set strategic goals with school leaders and foster long-term partnerships that align with Clever’s vision for EdTech.
  • Represent Clever in Canada with key partners at conferences and education events to build awareness of Clever’s solutions.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience building relationships and selling technology products to educational institutions in Canada.
  • Proven track record of success in establishing new business and exceeding sales quotas.
  • Strong understanding of the Canadian education system, including school operations, curriculum, and technology needs.
  • Familiarity with the procurement processes in Canadian schools and educational organizations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and technology skills, with a focus on educating customers and supporting their EdTech implementation.
  • Strong negotiation and deal-closing skills, with an emphasis on collaboration and long-term relationship building.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to travel within Canada during peak sales and conference seasons (up to 50% of the time).
  • Flexibility to work and travel on weekends for conferences and internal sales meetings.

Pay Transparency:
The range of our base salary cash compensation for this role is between CAD 134,200 - CAD 158,000. All final offers are determined using multiple factors including experience and level of expertise.
