People Technology Partner – Absence & Benefits
In partnership with the Senior Manager, People Technology, the People Technology Partner help shape the future of People technology strategy and roadmap at CA. This role serves as a strategic partner to People & IT leadership, ensuring that technology solutions align with organizational goals. Not only is this role responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and support of People systems and applications, it also acts as a bridge between People and IT, combines deep technical expertise in People systems with project management and process improvement experiences to drive continuous improvement in People technology and processes. This role is specifically aligned with Total Rewards, supporting Absence, Benefits, and Compensation.
Essential duties/responsibilities:
Strategic Focus:
- Collaborate with People team leadership to align technology strategy and initiatives with business goals.
- Evaluate emerging HR technologies and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and employee experience.
- In partnership with the Senior Manager, HR Technology, develop and maintain the HR technology roadmap and influence system selection decisions.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and internal security policies.
Operational & Technical Focus
- Product owner and subject matter expert (SME) in Absence, Benefits, and Compensation.
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday in area(s) of expertise.
- System upgrades, testing, and implementation of new modules or features.
- Ensure data integrity, perform audits, and manage data flows between systems.
- Develop and maintain advanced reports and dashboards for HR metrics and compliance.
- Provide support for HR system issues and mentor junior analysts as needed.
- Document system processes, configurations, and user guides.

- Business Acumen: Understands HR processes and how technology supports business outcomes. Ability to advise and consult the people’s team to arrive at the best technology and/or process solutions.

- Security & Compliance: Knowledge of GDPR, HIPAA, and internal data governance standards.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, or a related field (Master’s degree or certifications like PMP or Workday preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in HR technology or HRIS, with deep knowledge of systems like Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle, or similar platforms.
Travel: Less than twice per month
