About the Role

We are hiring a Salesforce IT Architect to lead the architecture, design, security, AI enablement, and technical governance of our Salesforce ecosystem. This role will ensure Salesforce is scalable, secure, well-integrated, AI-ready, and aligned with enterprise business processes across Sales, Service, Customer Success, Data, and IT.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on architect who can define platform direction, design integrations, strengthen data protection, reduce technical debt, and guide delivery teams through modern Salesforce capabilities including Data Cloud, Agentforce, Einstein, automation, and AI-driven workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own Salesforce platform architecture across configuration, custom development, automation, AI capabilities, security, data model, reporting, and integrations.
  • Design scalable and secure integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems, including data platforms, learning platforms, ERP, customer engagement tools, and middleware.
  • Lead architecture for Salesforce AI use cases using Agentforce, Einstein, Data Cloud, Prompt Builder, copilots/agents, predictive insights, recommendations, and workflow automation.
  • Partner with Data, Security, and MDM teams to make Salesforce data AI-ready through clean data models, identity resolution, segmentation, data privacy, governance, and Snowflake/Data Cloud integrations.
  • Define secure integration patterns for APIs, Workato/iPaaS, batch jobs, event-driven flows, near-real-time synchronization, authentication, authorization, encryption, logging, and error handling.
  • Establish architecture standards for Salesforce development, AI governance, release management, environment strategy, documentation, secure configuration, and platform operations.
  • Lead solution design reviews, AI use-case assessments, security reviews, vendor evaluations, and technical tradeoff discussions.
  • Guide admins, developers, analysts, and implementation partners through secure design, build, test, release, and production support.
  • Identify and reduce technical debt, manual workarounds, brittle automations, duplicate logic, excessive permissions, unmanaged integrations, and platform security risks.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Salesforce experience, including 3+ years in an architect, technical lead, or senior solution design role.
  • Strong expertise in Salesforce platform architecture, including Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud, Flow, Apex, Lightning, data model, sharing model, permission sets, profiles, and platform limits.
  • Proven experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, Einstein capabilities, Agentforce, AI-assisted automation, prompt design, or AI-powered CRM workflows.
  • Experience designing secure Salesforce integrations using APIs, middleware, ETL/ELT, iPaaS, or event-driven patterns.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture, MDM, identity resolution, deduplication, data synchronization, system-of-record principles, data privacy, and access governance.
  • Experience with Salesforce security architecture, including role hierarchy, sharing rules, field-level security, permission set groups, connected apps, OAuth, SSO, MFA, audit logs, and secure API access.
  • Ability to evaluate AI use cases for feasibility, data readiness, privacy, security, business value, and operational risk.
  • Experience translating business processes into scalable, secure, and AI-enabled Salesforce solutions.
  • Strong documentation, governance, risk management, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce architect-level certifications preferred.
  • Salesforce Data Cloud, AI, Einstein, or Agentforce-related certifications preferred.
  • Experience with Workato, Snowflake, Kafka, MDM platforms, or enterprise data pipelines.
  • Experience modernizing Salesforce orgs and reducing technical debt and security exposure.
  • Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools such as Gearset, Copado, Flosum, Salesforce DX, Git, CI/CD pipelines, code scanning, and release controls.
  • Experience evaluating AppExchange products, third-party Salesforce ecosystem tools, AI vendors, and vendor security posture.
  • Familiarity with responsible AI, model governance, prompt governance, data privacy, and compliance frameworks in enterprise SaaS environments.

Success in This Role Looks Like

  • A clear and scalable Salesforce architecture roadmap.
  • Stronger integration reliability, observability, and security.
  • Better Salesforce data quality, privacy, and AI readiness.
  • Successful delivery of high-value Salesforce AI use cases.
  • Reduced technical debt, excessive access, and manual workarounds.
  • Faster delivery with lower long-term platform, data, and AI risk.
  • Trusted partnership with business, IT, data, security, AI, and vendor teams.
