Job Description

This is a remote position.

Deliberate AI—the first AI & Neuroscience platform accepted into the FDA’s ISTAND pilot program—is scaling its Clinical Assessments & Research Operations team. We’re hiring remote, full-time, and part-time doctoral-level clinical interviewers located anywhere in the United States.

You will:
  • Administer & score clinician-rated instruments (HAM-D, HAM-A, MADRS, MINI, SCID, C-SSRS, CGI) via secure video.
  • Document rigorously in 21 CFR Part 11–compliant platforms—capturing source notes, adverse events, and protocol deviations with full audit trails.
  • Audit peer assessments, resolve scoring discrepancies, and uphold inter-rater reliability (ICC ≥ 0.85).
  • Train and mentor new raters; co-lead weekly calibration meetings; serve as on-call clinical backup for safety escalations.\Collaborate with product & data-science teams to pilot AI-assisted assessments and refine interview guides— shaping next-generation digital COAs.
All sessions are video-recorded (participant + interviewer feeds) to ensure quality, traceability, and model-training fidelity. Domestic travel (≤ 2 trips per year) may be required for investigator meetings or live calibration sessions. Shift rosters are built collaboratively around study windows and your stated availability; part-time interviewers commit to ≥ 16 hours/week (blocks or split shifts are fine, occasional evenings appreciated).

Requirements

Minimum qualifications:
  • PhD/PsyD (or equivalent) in Clinical Psychology or a closely related field and ≥ 3 years post-doctoral experience conducting clinical outcome assessments (ClinROs) in trials.
  • Formal training and demonstrated competence administering structured or semi-structured mood-disorder interviews (HAM-D, MADRS, etc.).
  • Professional video presence, reliable high-speed internet, and comfort working across U.S. time zones.
  • Passion for research integrity, participant-centred interviewing, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Licensure not required for this research-only role (licensed and license-eligible psychologists welcome).
Preferred:
  • Prior central-rating and/or decentralized trial experience.
  • Bilingual skills to serve a diverse national sample.
  • Publication record or interest in co-authoring conference papers & journal articles.
  • Experience (or enthusiasm) working in a fast-moving mental health technology start-up.

Benefits

  • Salary range $100,000 – $157,000 (total cash compensation; includes base + performance bonus). Exact compensation is determined by location, experience, and interview performance. The posted range is disclosed to comply with all applicable state and local pay-transparency laws.
  • W-2 employment for all team members (full-time & part-time).
  • Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, and generous PTO.
  • Flexible scheduling built around life commitments.
  • Company-provided home-office equipment.
  • Co-authorship opportunities on high-impact publications.
  • Annual professional-development stipend and paid conference attendance.
