Imagine Your Impact.

The VP of Product Management, Platform leads the strategy, roadmap, and execution for the technical foundation that powers Imagine Learning's product portfolio. This role owns the platform layer: shared services, APIs, data infrastructure, identity, and the integrations that products across ELA, math, science, social studies, and courseware build on. You will translate a fragmented set of product needs into a coherent, scalable platform strategy that accelerates delivery, reduces duplication, and creates durable technical advantage.

This is a builder role for a leader who has shipped complex technical systems at scale and who works AI-natively. You will partner closely with Engineering, Design, and the product leaders who serve as your internal customers. You will make hard tradeoffs between shared infrastructure and product-specific speed. You will report to the SVP of Product, Design, and AI Initiatives and lead a team of platform-focused product managers.

  • Own the platform product strategy and multi-year roadmap. Aligning it to portfolio needs, business priorities, and the company's AI direction.
  • Define and manage the API, data, identity, and integration surfaces that product teams depend on. Treat internal teams as customers with real SLAs and clear contracts.
  • Lead platform product managers. Set direction, coach, and build a high-performing team that operates with technical depth and product judgment and exercise judgment about where AI incrementally improves a practice and where it should transform it entirely.
  • Use AI to improve your own product practice, from discovery to spec to decision-making, and set the standard for what AI-native product leadership looks like.
  • Partner with Engineering leadership on architecture decisions, build-vs-buy calls, and delivery planning.
  • Drive the platformization of shared AI capabilities so product teams can build curriculum-grounded features without rebuilding foundations each time.
  • Establish platform metrics that matter: adoption by product teams, reliability, delivery velocity gained, cost efficiency, and reduction in duplicated work.
  • Manage dependencies across product lines. Sequence platform investments so they unblock the highest-priority product outcomes.
  • Represent platform strategy to executive leadership. Communicate roadmap, risk, and progress clearly.
  • Enforce data governance, privacy, and security requirements (FERPA, COPPA) at the platform layer so downstream products inherit strong defaults.

  • At least 12 years in product management, with at least 5 years leading product teams. Prior platform, infrastructure, or developer-facing product ownership required.

  • Demonstrated experience working AI-natively as a product leader, using AI to improve personal practice, team workflows, and product outcomes and a track record of redesigning team processes and operating models around AI capabilities.
  • Experience shipping AI-forward products or platforms in production, with real users preferred.

  • Experience coaching and growing product managers into a strong team.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to make technical strategy legible to executives.
  • Experience in EdTech, regulated data environments, or K-12 preferred. Working knowledge of student data privacy (FERPA, COPPA) a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
