High School Teacher

Full-Time | Year-Round | Starting Salary: $42,000

Help students discover their capabilities!

We are seeking a passionate, adaptable, and student-centered high school teacher to join our growing learning community. If you believe education is more than lectures, worksheets, and standardized pacing guides—and instead see it as an opportunity to mentor, inspire, and empower young people—we’d love to hear from you.

Our school operates on a year-round calendar, divided into four instructional quarters, allowing for consistent learning and intentional breaks throughout the year.

Schedule

  • Monday–Thursday: 9:00 AM – 3:20 PM
  • Occasional Fridays for planning, professional development, student events, or special activities

Salary

  • Starting salary: $42,000 annually

About Our School

Our instructional model is built around project-based learning, problem-based learning, and mastery learning. Rather than asking students to simply memorize information, we challenge them to investigate authentic problems, complete meaningful projects, and demonstrate deep understanding before moving forward.

Teachers are not expected to simply deliver curriculum—they collaborate with students to build it.

Our educators work alongside students to:

  • Design engaging learning experiences
  • Develop long-term interdisciplinary projects
  • Individualize instruction based on student interests, strengths, and goals
  • Encourage curiosity, critical thinking, creativity, and independence

What You’ll Do

  • Facilitate engaging, project-based learning experiences across high school coursework
  • Collaborate with students to develop personalized learning plans and long-term academic projects
  • Monitor student mastery and provide individualized feedback and support
  • Build meaningful relationships with students and families
  • Serve as a mentor, helping teenagers navigate academic challenges, personal growth, goal-setting, and future career pathways
  • Foster a classroom culture built on respect, accountability, curiosity, and resilience
  • Work collaboratively with fellow educators to continually improve instruction and school culture

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for educators who genuinely enjoy working with teenagers and who see teaching as both an academic and relational profession.

Ideal candidates will:

  • Be creative, flexible, and eager to try new instructional approaches
  • Value student voice and collaborative learning
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
  • Be comfortable guiding students through long-term projects and independent learning
  • View mistakes as opportunities for growth—for both students and themselves
  • Enjoy mentoring adolescents as they develop confidence, responsibility, and purpose

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Teaching certification not required (but welcomed)
  • Previous classroom experience not required (but considered a strong asset)
  • A willingness to learn, collaborate, and grow is essential

Why Join Us?

You’ll have the opportunity to know your students well—not just as learners, but as young people preparing for adulthood. Our teachers have the freedom to be innovative, build authentic relationships, and help students discover passions that extend far beyond the classroom.

If you’re excited by the idea of guiding students through meaningful projects, celebrating mastery over memorization, and serving as a mentor during one of the most important stages of their lives, we’d love to meet you.
