About the Job
We are looking for a Data Scientist with 4+ years of experience who can analyze data, build ML models, provide actionable insights, and leverage Generative AI for business and product innovation.
Work Location
In-office (Bengaluru)
Responsibilities
- Solve business-critical problems using classical machine learning and statistical modeling techniques.
- Deliver high-quality, production-ready ML systems and infrastructure, from experimentation through deployment and monitoring.
- Analyze structured and unstructured data to uncover patterns, trends, and opportunities.
- Develop ML models for prediction, classification, recommendation, forecasting, and optimization.
Build and optimize models including:
- Regression models
- Logistic regression and classification systems
- Gradient boosting models (XGBoost, LightGBM)
- Recommendation systems
- Propensity modeling solutions
- Risk scoring and risk modeling frameworks
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA), feature engineering, and data preprocessing.
- Evaluate model performance using appropriate statistical metrics and validation techniques.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate ML pipelines and models into production systems.
- Design scalable training and inference workflows.
- Continuously improve model accuracy, efficiency, and reliability through experimentation and tuning.
- Adopt best practices in the ML development lifecycle (data versioning, model evaluation, monitoring, retraining).
- Document analyses, models, pipelines, and recommendations clearly.
- Research and recommend improvements in ML methodologies and modeling approaches.
Requirements
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Python and ML libraries (scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM).
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms including regression, classification, and ensemble methods.
- Experience building predictive models, recommendation systems, propensity models, and risk models.
- Knowledge of data manipulation and analysis tools (Pandas, NumPy, SQL).
- Strong experience in exploratory data analysis (EDA) and feature engineering.
- Experience deploying ML solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Understanding of model evaluation, validation techniques, and performance optimization.
- Ability to recommend suitable modeling approaches for business problems.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
