About This Role

At Presence, we believe that we have a responsibility to help schools provide their students access to the specialized services they need. As a senior member in Presence’s dynamic sales organization, you'll be responsible for building and developing a high-performing Sales team to drive revenue growth and to achieve sales quotas in your territory. You will develop business plans to guide your team on how best to grow your territory. You will manage the end-to-end sales process - lead generation, solution engineering, negotiation, and hand-off to our implementation team - and collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to ensure customer success. You will also recruit top talent, actively coach performance, and provide on-going learning and development opportunities to sales professionals on your team. In this role, you will report into the VP of Sales and be a key leader of the commercial organization.

Role Responsibilities

Lead a team of field sales professionals to over-achieve their business goals
Build and execute strategy for the team to win key net new customers and assist in renewing strategic accounts
Communicate the Presence sales vision, business plans, and organizational updates to the regional Sales team
Develop a territory plan for reliably delivering quota and for expanding in the region
Coordinate and implement a strategic outreach plan to enhance collaboration between business development representatives and sales executives
Manage the performance and professional development of sales executives
Develop individual business plans for sales executives to ensure their selling success
Ensure Sales team alignment with Presence sales processes, practices, and policies
Participate in weekly training on Presence products, process, and selling techniques
Analyze sales activity and results to direct individual performance and to provide input to senior management
Represent Presence in the community to enhance business relationships and to increase brand awareness
Recruit, interview, and select talent to build a high-performing Sales team

Desired Qualifications

3-5 years minimum of direct sales experience on a new logo/new business background with a “hunter” mentality
5+ years of sales management experience of new logo teams
Demonstrated ability to organize, follow through, and problem-solve
Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM
Experience building a strong pipeline of consistent revenue to support large geographical territories
High level of comfort handling objections and difficult conversations
The ability to directly coordinate cross-selling and joint marketing initiatives to maximize needs for both clients & the business
Having a client-focused, consultative sales approach to the role with a longer-term vision of building client connections and expanding on new legal services
Confidence in being a brand ambassador, attending market-leading events and conferences with a strong ability to follow-up on leads
EdTech experience is preferred but not required

An employee’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions.

Salary range is $150,000-$175,000 plus variable commission.

Where is this position located?

This position is remote and may require 50% travel
The preferred location is on the east coast. However, any state east of the Mississippi River would be considered
Presence is headquartered in New York City with our clients located throughout the U.S
All employees commit to being available on-camera for our Core Working Hours, 12:00pm-5:00pm EST M-F
