The role

We are seeking a candidate with a strong understanding of product and engineering for enterprise software, cloud environments and large scale data technologies. Strategic, technical vision, forward thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role.

What you’ll do:

  • Own and drive an innovative product strategy through to production.
  • Lead talented Engineering and Product teams, direct Engineering and Product delivery efforts.
  • Define the strategy, direction and manage the execution for all things engineering, including product engineering and processes, as well as product development.
  • Focus on exceeding Member’s expectations in every engagement with the lending/borrow products.
  • Define the product and business metrics, drive to implementation and run the business with data.
  • Break down complex problems into simpler component pieces that can ultimately be automated.
  • Create a roadmap that allows for highly iterative delivery of demonstrable business value while still managing various risks.
  • Build a vision, strategy and own a multi-year product roadmap.
  • Break vision into phases, prioritize and drive backlogs for launch with your dedicated engineering teams.
  • Be able to lead in a fast paced agile environment.
  • Work with internal business stakeholders from marketing, sales, operations, community and executive management to translate customer needs into a product.
  • Be able to work closely with engineering to own and dive deep into backlogs and technical details.
  • Lead extensive framework of experimentation in order to drive customer impact.

What you’ll need:

  • Has built and led high performing development teams with a track record of delivery.
  • You are a relationship builder with the ability to influence beyond Engineering.
  • You have a minimum of 15+ years of progressive engineering and product management with at least 5 years of experience as a technology executive developing customer focused products.
  • Thorough knowledge of engineering principles/practices and product development.
  • Keen business acumen and proven executive management abilities.
  • Ability to drive effective two-way communication with management and development teams.
  • Knowledgeable with more than one software development methodology and multiple products.
  • BS/BA in computer science, engineering or related major or equivalent combination of education and experience. A graduate degree in one of these fields is a plus.
  • Experience leading consumer products at scale
  • Superior communication skills, written and verbal
  • Experience presenting and influencing C-level leadership
  • Experience in end to end ownership of a product and strong business understanding to navigate a P&L
  • Experience managing complex product development cycles and highly technical solutions
  • Demonstrated experience shipping commercially successful consumer products
  • Experience leading agile cross-functional teams to deliver products that delight customers
  • Ability to work with remote teams
  • Ability to invent and simplify
  • Consumer Lending experience is a plus

The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
