The role:

As a Compliance Validation Analyst at SoFi, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our organization's commitment to regulatory compliance, integrity, and innovation. Executing validation activities following a comprehensive compliance validation framework and collaborating with key stakeholders to provide assurance to the Members, restitution/remediation activities, and action plans testing activities will be integral to the success of this role.

The Compliance Validation Analyst utilizes outcome testing and audit methods to validate action plans, restitution/remediation, and new compliance metrics before implementation regarding business products, services, and processes, ensuring operational and regulatory compliance. Responsible for documenting, tracking, and periodically preparing executive reports and dashboards, the Analyst identifies potential enhancements and works to rectify errors, aiming to mitigate the frequency and severity of risks across all stages of the application, underwriting, loan boarding, servicing, and collections processes.

What you’ll do:

  • Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with relevant Compliance Officers and Business Areas.
  • Identifying and classifying findings properly; managing and tracking those findings to ensure the business owner remediates the issue; and performing validation and sustainability review/testing to confirm that the finding has been fully addressed.
  • Analyzing data from multiple sources and systematically documenting the work and results.
  • Ensure all tasks and reporting are completed within established timeframes, in accordance with the program’s validation plan.
  • Drive innovation through data analytics and technology-enabled solutions to identify regulatory compliance risk exposures and improve funnel efficiency.
  • Coordinate with various business teams for regulatory exams and internal audits, providing requested data as needed.
  • Executing aforementioned validation testing in adherence to program methodology and procedures, under the leadership of a team leader.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 8-10 years of compliance testing or auditing experience, specifically within financial services or a regulated banking institution
  • Working knowledge of consumer applicable laws and regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • CRCM certification

The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
