What You’ll Do
- Architect the AI Foundation: Partner with engineering to build the infrastructure that powers our AI-integrated product suite.
- Engineer Unshakeable Reliability: Move beyond basic monitoring. Use data and intelligent insights to predict and prevent issues before they happen, defining the "Golden Signals" that keep our global economy moving.
- Automate the Impossible: If you have to do it multiple times, automate it. You will leverage Terraform, Helm, and AI-assisted coding tools to turn manual toil into elegant, self-repairing code.
- Design the Invisible Shield: Embed security into our DNA that it becomes invisible to our developers but impenetrable to threats.
- Build the High-Speed Rail of Code: Transform our CI/CD pipelines into a friction-free superhighway. Using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD, ensure that innovation moves from "idea" to "production" at record speeds.
- Elevate the Team: Be the voice of DevOps culture. Share your innovative solutions and mentor the next generation of engineers to think as big as you do.
Your Technical Toolkit
- Cloud Architecture at Scale: You bring a proven track record (5+ years in Enterprise SaaS, 4+ in Public Cloud) of building resilient systems. GCP is our playground, so experience there is a massive advantage.
- Kubernetes Command: Deep technical understanding of Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) architecture and internals. Proficiency with Docker, Service Mesh, and the observability ecosystems required to maintain cluster health.
- AI-Augmented Engineering: Fluent in Python or Bash, with a demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate development cycles.
- Infrastructure as Art: Expertise writing scalable, self-documenting modules using Terraform and Helm.
- Deep Observability: You use Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, and Splunk not just to see "what" happened, but to automatically predict "why" it happened.
- The Core Fundamentals: Knowledge of Unix/Linux internals and the protocols that make the internet go (TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, DNS).
Nice To Have:
- The Data Layer: Hands-on experience taming stateful workloads and ensuring data integrity with MySQL or Cassandra.
- Event-Driven Minds: You understand the power of decoupling systems and have architected flows using Kafka or ActiveMQ.
- The Global Edge: You know how to push performance and security closer to the user, leveraging CDNs and WAFs like Cloudflare or Akamai.

Pay Transparency
SAP Taulia believes that pay transparency contributes to an honest, supportive culture and is a vital part of our commitment to equity. The estimated annualized base salary range for this position is €63,900 – €74,100.
This range represents a good faith estimate of the base salary at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined by a variety of factors, including (but not limited to) the candidate’s specific skills, depth of experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
