Taulia's Commitment :

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

It is our duty to create and advance a diverse and inclusive company where all SAP Taulians feel celebrated. All individuals are welcomed, free to express themselves, and rewarded for showing up authentically every day. By hiring women, people of color, individuals with disabilities, veterans, people of all sexual orientations, and from underrepresented and marginalized communities, SAP Taulia will continue to revolutionize fintech.

About the Job

The Technical Consultant is responsible for implementing SAP Taulia's solutions at client sites across Europe, guiding customers through the full implementation cycle from concept to go-live. You will serve as the primary technical owner of client engagements — combining strong SAP functional expertise with the integration know-how to see projects through from requirements to go-live.

This is a dual-skill role, but with a clear center of gravity. Your foundation is deep SAP functional knowledge — particularly across Finance (FI), Accounts Payable, and vendor management processes — enabling you to engage as a trusted expert with client finance and procurement teams, understand their business challenges, and translate them into the right solution design. On top of that functional grounding, you have a solid understanding of integration concepts that allows you to own the technical workstream end-to-end. You are a self-starter who thrives working autonomously, translates complex business requirements into clear technical deliverables, and takes pride in the quality of the customer experience you deliver.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the sole technical owner on customer implementation projects, working alongside Taulia Project Managers and Business Consultants to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Lead client requirement workshops to define technical and business requirements, processes, and objectives.
  • Design, implement, customize, and test Taulia solutions within client SAP environments to meet business requirements.
  • Define and communicate technical architectures to a range of audiences — from client IT teams and SAP basis consultants to business stakeholders and finance leads — adapting the level of detail to suit the audience.
  • Develop professional project documentation, provide knowledge transfer, and conduct end-user training.
  • Work closely with Taulia's Product Development and QA teams to maintain up-to-date product knowledge and contribute to software improvement.
  • Leverage and continuously enhance delivery playbooks to improve the efficiency and repeatability of project execution.
  • Identify opportunities for delivery process improvement and collaborate with the global Professional Services team to implement changes.
  • Participate on an ad hoc basis in pre-sales calls as a technical validator — answering specific implementation questions; this is not a pre-sales ownership role.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience required

  • 4+ years: of SAP implementation experience in a consulting or Professional Services environment; exceptional candidates with 3 years and strong P2P depth will be considered.
  • SAP P2P / AP Automation: hands-on configuration experience — S/4HANA preferred, ECC accepted.
  • ABAP literacy: ability to read, debug, and modify code in user exits, BADIs, and enhancement frameworks. Not expected to develop from scratch.
  • Integration familiarity: working knowledge of file-based (IDocs, flat files, sFTP, AS2) and modern API-based patterns (RESTful APIs, JSON), with a willingness to deepen this expertise on the job.
  • SaaS & architecture: understanding of SaaS solutions, technology architecture, and cloud-based delivery models.
  • Business analyst skills: ability to gather, analyze, and document requirements to a professional standard.
  • Client leadership: demonstrated ability to lead client workshops and own the customer relationship independently from day one.
  • Communication: strong written and verbal English skills; comfortable presenting to groups of varying technical levels.
  • Delivery: results-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously under competing deadlines.
  • German language: proficiency in written and spoken German.

Nice to Have:

  • Based in or near SAP Taulia locations in Madrid, London, Sofia or Frankfurt.
  • S/4HANA-specific implementation experience (migrations or greenfield).
  • Knowledge of B2B messaging standards (X12, EDIFACT, RosettaNet, cXML) or EDI-specific tooling.
  • Familiarity with SAP Business Network or Ariba.
  • Experience with Java/Groovy programming or debugging.
  • Exposure to other ERP platforms such as Oracle E-Business Suite, Microsoft D365, PeopleSoft, or Lawson.
  • Experience coaching junior consultants or contributing to internal PS process improvement initiatives.
Expertise in SAP Taulia products and implementation methodology, or equivalent fintech/supply-chain finance platform experience.
